Born in Tupelo and raised in Water Valley Mississippi, these roots are evident in the songs of Ken Hart as well as his early musical influences: Steve Earle, Hank Jr., Haggard, Jones, and Mellencamp to name a few. 

In summer 2004 Ken made a guest appearance on Grammy award winner Jimbo Mathus Knockdown South release playing guitar and singing harmony on a song called "Loving Arms" written by Mathus.

In March 2005 Ken released his debut CD "Ain't No Trains" recorded at Jimbo Mathus Delta Recording Studio in Clarksdale, MS. The CD was produced by songwriting great Rock Killough and featured Mathus on drums and guitar, Jed Clampit on guitar, Bil Clampit on bass, and Michael "Tramp" Lawing on mandolin and violin. The CD was soon signed to Knockdown South Records based in Clarksdale, MS.

In 2005 Ken appeared on Front Row, a TV series featuring songwriters, produced by Jones Television Productions in Springdale, AR. Ken is being featured in a documentary about the world famous Flora Bama Lounge called "The Last American Roadhouse" to be released in 2006. Ken is also being featured on a compilation CD called "When The Levee Breaks" to be released on New Orleans based 219 records in May 2006. This CD also features legendary producer Jim Dickinson, North Mississippi All-stars Luther and Cody Dickinson, Jimbo Mathus, Duff Dorrough, Tate Moore, Olga, Lynn Drury, and others. It will be distributed by Redeye Distribution.

Utah based Tim Wray recently recorded Ken's song Ain't No Trains for his upcoming CD which will be out early May 2006. www.timwray.com  Ken is currently in the studio working on his second CD of all original material with a scheduled release date of August 2006.

Since 1995, Ken has shared the stage with greats such as Rock Killough, Sonny Throckmorton, Keith Sykes, Tricia Walker, Davis Raines, Doug Supernaw, T-Model Ford, Jed Clampit, Bil Clampit, Sam Anderson, Kim Carson, Johnny Barbato, Gove Scrivenor, Phyllis Tannerfrye, Jimbo Mathus, Ed Dye, Mississippi Chris Sharp, Tate Moore, Andy Millburn, Bonepony, Lynn Drury, Olga, Bo Roberts, Cass Hunter, Brent Moyer, Nancy Apple, Tommy Bryan Ledford, Ken Edwards, and others.
